Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Looping Oxidative Coupling of Methane through Synergy between Metal-Loaded Dielectric Particles and Non-Thermal Plasma

چکیده
A plasma–catalyst hybrid system has been developed for the direct conversion of methane to C2+ hydrocarbons in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. TiO2 presented highest yield 11.63% among different materials when integrated with DBD plasma, which made us concentrate on TiO2-based catalyst. It was demonstrated that MnTi catalyst showed best coupling performance 27.29% 150 V applied voltage, without additional thermal input. The catalytic under various operation parameters further carried out, and techniques, such as X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, H2-temperature-programmed reduction were used explore effect Mn loading oxidative (OCM) performance. results voltage flow rate had a significant activation. particles loaded not only synergistically affected reaction, but also facilitated charge deposition generate strong local electric field activate methane. synergy effects boosted OCM became 1.25 times higher than undoped identical operating conditions almost impossible occur even at 850 °C absence Moreover, reaction activity fully recovered by plasma regeneration 300 maintained its stability least 30 consecutive cyclic redox tests. This work presents new opportunity efficient produce low temperatures assistance.

Non-thermal Plasma and Oxidative Stress
Thermal plasmas and lasers have been used in medicine to cut and ablate tissues and for coagulation. Non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma (NEAPP; non-thermal plasma) is a recently developed, non-thermal technique with possible biomedical applications. Although NEAPP reportedly generates reactive oxygen/nitrogen species, electrons, positive ions, and ultraviolet radiation, few research pr...
متن کاملDecomposition of sugars under non-thermal dielectric barrier discharge plasma
Solutions of ribose, glucose, and sucrose in water and phosphate buffer were treated with non-thermal plasma generated by using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) device and the oxidation products were characterized by H NMR and GC–MS. Our results demonstrate that these sugars are decomposed to formic acid, glycolic acid, glyceric acid, tartronic acid, tartaric acid, acetic acid, and oxalic a...
متن کاملOxidative coupling of methane with microwave and RF plasma catalytic reaction over transitional metals loaded on ZSM-5
In the microwave and radio frequency (RF) plasma catalytic reaction at room temperature, the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) over transitional metals loaded on ZSM-5 has been carried out. The transitional metals, Fe, Ni, Co and Cu (1B family element), loaded on ZSM-5 have been tested for the OCM using the plasma catalytic reaction. In this work, the conversion of methane to C2 products has ...
متن کاملCell damaging by irradiating non-thermal plasma to the water: Mathematical modeling of chemical processes
Recently non-thermal plasma (NTP) is applied for many therapeutic applications. By NTP irradiating to the tissues or cell-lines, the water molecules (H2O) would be also activated leading to generate hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). By irradiating plasma to bio-solution, its main output including vacuum UV to UV causes the photolysis of H2O leading to generat...
